5 Fashion Trends Coming This Summer! 2015

Yo people how are you all doing? Summer is just around the corners and I am super duper excited for it. Do you remember how flowy crop tops, floral circle skirts, cut off bathing suits, floral maxi dress, denim cut offs and tie dye everything were seriously trendy last summer? Well, they could still be but let me guess what would become trendy this summer, or well at least to me.

1. High Neck Crop Tops

Do you see how these are getting in trend again? Even though these are so 2012 but people seem to be wearing these a lot lately, they look really sophisticated but still really fashionable and fun to wear in! Pair them with high waisted denims or origami skort to glam the look up.

2. Origami Skorts

Speaking of origami skorts, these could become so trendy this summer. Super duper sophisticated and chic. Heard of Amanda Steele? She mentioned about skorts in a few of her recent videos and I see how these will become really fashionable these summer.

3. Birkenstock 

Yes I know these are a bit ugly but trust me not only are they really casual and comfy but they could be really stylish as well. I know how people call these Jesus sandals and such but they are super duper puper luper tuper super fashionable. Pair it with white tee and jeans and bam there you go you have an outfit, add it in your shopping list and you wouldn't regret!

4. Bohemian 

Bohemian has been a trend that is trendy every Coachella but did you notice that people are starting to be a little more boho even for normal occasions. Now there's even a section in (nearly) every clothing store of bohemian clothings and accessories. By Bohemian I meant tribal print shorts, wide leg pants, Off-The-Shoulder top, open knit cardigans, kimonos, rompers, you name it all. I love Forever 21's Bohemian section they are seriously so chic and you definitely have to check it out!

5. Bralette

 

Bralettes are super duper cute for summer either as a top alone or under a shirt. Brandy Melville has these two super adorable and fashionable bralettes that could be wore alone. There are also some alternatives, instead of spending money on these you could use a really cheap bra maybe at target and customize it yourself! Lace bralettes are super adorable when showing the straps.

My Travelling Essentials! //March 2015//

Hey everyone! So you probably didn't know but I will be going to New Zealand this month for 11 days and I decided to make this post about what I usually pack to trips and such. This also helps me be more organized somehow and be ensure I got everything packed! Since it will be fall when I get there, the weather is breezy yet sunny so shorts and tshirts with a cardigan would be purrfect hehe.

Top 4 Tips for Packing (applies to anywhere)!

#1 Check the weather 

• Always check the weather on the official weather observation website of where you are going to, they are usually more accurate than the ones on apps (e.g. Yahoo weather)
• By checking the weather you would know what to pack, e.g. shorts or pants, sweater or t-shirts etc.

#2 Bring a few extra pair of undies

• Well it's always safe to bring some extras since you never know when the time of the month will be.

#3 Don't over pack

• Even though over packing might be good since there will be more options in clothes or shoes or more cleans undies, but you could do laundry there, and its better to do some laundries throughout the trip than bringing your smelly clothes back home. 

#4 Use packing cubes

• I know how people said that packing cubes takes up a lot of space, but it really helps sort everything out and when you are flipping through things you wouldn't mess up the others.

Clothing:

• 3 pair of shorts
• Since they don't take up much space it's fine to take more but you could always wear them more than once
• 8 t-shirts
• Basic tees could be worn more than once without the feeling of wearing it again, since you could add a cardigan or tuck it into the shorts for a new outfit. Some t-shirts could be used as a cover up on bathing suits.
• 2 Cardigan/Jacket
• When it gets breezy you could always wear a light jacket on top of your outfit, and two of them to change around without the feeling of wearing it repetitively.
• 1-2 sets of bathing suits
• Where I will be going is full of beaches and pools so there's always a chance for swimming. I'm bringing one more set just in case it doesn't dry on time.
• Undergarments 
• It's basically a must, you could bring fewer undies since you could wash it and they dry pretty quickly, but bring enough bras for everyday since its harder for them to dry.
• 2 pair of pants
• Just in case it gets breezy and for activities that you longer pants. Also for going back to Hong Kong.
• 2 Sweater/Hoodie
• Only when it gets cold but not too cold where you have to wear long pants.
• A romper/dress
• Sometimes you could get a little dressy when it doesn't involve any physical activity.
• 8 pair of socks
• One for everyday, except for days where you wear sandals.

Shoes:

• Sport Shoes
• Trainers for physical activities and for daily running!
• Flipflops
• For the beach/pool and you could wear them at the hotel as well
• Sneakers/Anything you usually wear
• For days that you aren't wear any of those above.

Toiletries:

• Shampoo/Conditioner
• Only if you want to, but I usually like using my own one.
• Razor
• Not for cutting but for shaving and such
• Toner
• I know some people doesn't use it but I do
• Makeup Remover/Cotton Pads
• Even if you don't wear makeup you will still need to remove your sunscreen.
• Sunscreen
• Unless you want tons of freckles and get sun burnt.

Technology:

• Chargers/ Adapters
• You NEVER ever wanna forget those, well you could possibly buy it there but its better if you do. 
• Extra Batteries

Others:

• A book
• To read when you are bored.
• Notebook/Pens
• Maybe you wanna write a diary?
• Jewlery
• To enhance your outfit?

• Just to swap around for different occasion and outfits.

Get To Know Me Tag (25 Questions)

I pretty much ran out of idea on what to post as usual and I thought why not introduce myself? So I saw this on Leah's blog and thought I would do this too!

1. Do you have a middle name?
I don't actually have one but Chinese names are confusing.

2. What is your favourite subject in school?
Probably visual arts or chemistry, despite the fact that I hate my visual arts teacher I still love the subject so much and I'm planning on studying chemistry in the future.

3. What's your favourite drink?
STARBUCKS, basically any frapps! and here comes me without it

4. What's your favourite song at the moment?

I have quite a few actually but if I could only choose one it would be A Little Too Much by the one and only Shawn Mendes. It's really empowering and meaningful as I had mentioned in my previous blog post.

5. What would your name your children?

Hmm... I think I would name my daughter Fleur and son Flynn. I just noticed that both names begins with "F" and are a single syllable name.

6. Do you participate in any sports?

Well I swim every Saturday and run once in a while if that counts.

7. What's your favourite book?

My favourite book used to be TFIOS but it's currently Divergent.

8. What's your favourite colour?

I used to be a huge fan on pink pink pink! But I like white as well (even though its not a colour)

9. What's your favourite animal?

Owls are my favourite animal, they are sooo adorable (maybe).

10. What's your favourite perfume?

I absolutely love Aura by Swarovski (Eau de Toilette), its this really fresh and sweet scent that totally represents me somehow.

11. What's your favourite holiday?

Does summer holiday counts? Well because its the longest holiday of all and there's no homework!

Nope, I'm still at Year 9

13. Have you been out of the country?

Yes! More than I could count actually

Well I love H&M as much as I love HMV (they both look similar, as in the word)

Does Starbucks count? XD If not then Al Molo Ristorante Italino, they literally have the best pizzas in town, well they only have it in Hong Kong

Yes and no. Yes because it kills boredom and I get to hangout with my friends, no because of all that homework and tests but they are good for us anyways.

February Favourites! (2015)

Hey its finally March! How are you doing? I'm currently procrastinating, maybe I should stop hmm.. anyways here's my February favourites, and this is just the things I had been loving vvv much this month, of course there's a lot more I love but I decided to include fewer stuff so it doesn't get too stuffed.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth - I'd gotten really obsessed with the Divergent series so so much, but I actually enjoyed Divergent and Insurgent more than Allegiant (well I haven't finished it yet), maybe because I enjoyed it all in Tris' POV and not switching it from one to another all the time, but I still enjoyed it enough to be a part of monthly favourites.

FujiFilm Instax Mini 8 - I received this polaroid camera during Christmas and I had been taking loads of polaroids ever since. There are 7 different colours (white, pink, blue, yellow, black, raspberry, grape) raspberry and grape are the newest colours, comparing to the original colours its a lot brighter since the original colours are all pastel related (other than black). It comes with 5 different settings/lighting which could be used in different environment. They are absolutely adorable and handy when taking pictures with friends and family.

M.A.C Lipstick 'Kinda Sexy' -  I got this last year but the one in the picture is for my friend. Its a really nice nude colour which works on a variety of skin tones. It is a matte lipstick, but you don't have to worry about your lips getting chapped, since the texture is really creamy and nice. Plus it smells really nice, vanilla-ish cookie dough-ish <3

Smith's Rosebud Salve in a Tube - The tube is really convenient since you don't have to dab your finger or ruin it at all, the subtle rose scent and tint is lovely. Even though it's shiny on lips but its not sticky at all, keeping it moisturized at all time, but I'm not a big fan of petroleum based products.

Nike Free 5.0 (Hyper Punch) - When I first saw this at the store, I was like "OMG I needa get it!" so I did. Nike Free is known for the high flexibility which allows you to run freely, and ever since I received these shoes I wanted to run so badly! Definitely worth the price!

The Vampire Diaries - I've never been so obsessed with a TV show before, but I guess I am! I'm currently on 5x05 (season 5 episode 5) *burst out of tears* because of Bon Bon's death )): There are a lot of supernatural stuff and shipping going on #Klaroline #Delena #Stelena and all that stuff, I ship #Klaroline as much as I love pizza hehe

A Little Too Much by Shawn Mendes - How could you not love it!1!1! The lyrics of this song is everything, and so relatable (you will get what I mean if you listen to it) Actually a lot of Shawn's lyrics are so meaningful and relatable to us teenagers, but this song just stands out of all. Shawn is trying to tell us that its okay to show when you break down because everybody feels the same.

Crash Test Dummy - Reed Deming - Reed Deming is adorable hehe (he's only 16 like Shawn aksdsakgdsd) its a really catchy and meaningful (again!) It's a song about self acceptance, we as teenagers have so much to go through, and there is so much pressure that is put on us by the society, media, peers or parents. Its just a confusing journey figuring out who we are in this world and who we want to become, but I feel that despite all our flaws and imperfections, we need to accept who we truly are, even if we aren't perfect we still need to understand that no one else is.

Never Be Alone by Shawn Mendes - #sorrynotsorry but Shawn Mendes' songs are so empowering and the video is absolutely beautiful. By the way he's gonna be touring with Taylor Swift this year! Wow so much for a 16 year old Canadian boy aka my bae <3

Mikey Murphy - He had been my human favourites this month among with my all time faves 5SOS and Shawn Mendes (duhhh) he's another adorable human being! hehe

Liebster Award 2015 (I have no idea what this is!)

          So apparently, I have no clue what this 'Liebster Award 2015' thing is all about but I'll give it a try and see how it all works! So I had been nominated by my online bestie Lena and her friend Judy (Bubble Pandas) to do this more of a 'tag' thing. So based on Lena "Basically, whoever tags you asks you a bunch of fun questions and once you answer them, you create more questions to give to the people you tag". Yup I'm that lazy to explain what this really is and I think she explains it better than I could.

11 Interesting Facts About Me

1. When I was younger, I wanted to be a construction worker, just like bob the builder, weird right? I wonder what was wrong with (alliteration hehe) me at that time like wow okay?
2. I had gained almost 9kg in the past year, *blaming all the chocolates and pizzas* (you could never resist them anyways!)
3. I could never start working on my homework until midnight (especially the big ones) but still manage to finish em and get good grades :D (maybe except for biology because no one likes it) #procrastinationftw 
4. You know how people couldn't leave their house without their phones, for me its my lipstick or lipbalm, never wanna go out with chapped lips, they are gross ewww
5. I tried to dye my ends of my hair last year to a lighter shade of brown but I guess it failed and instead made it darker (note: always go for a shade or two lighter than the actual shade you want)
6. I wrote 4 songs so far (that I am satisfied with) and I write them anywhere and anytime.
7. I suck at doodling but I think I'm good at actual drawing and painting and those stuff 
8. I kissed a boy (cheeks only) on valentines day that I didn't really know
9. Till now, I'm still a really shy kid especially in school, and teachers would mention it in all my reports to talk more in class
10. I think I can sing well but I never sang out loud in front of anyone other than my parents who are super annoyed because I'm basically singing 24/7
11. I don't eat beef, mutton, goose, duck, and a lot more 'normal' type of meat

• I'm from a little yet big city called Hong Kong, I love how modern yet historical or maybe old it could be, like a really modern skyscraper might be next to a post-war architect, isn't that cool?

• My favourite junk would probably be Starbucks' frappuccinos, I guess you do count it as a junk food. But it's life, despite how unhealthy it is, I still drink it often.

3. Are you a procrastinator or are you the opposite?

• I could possibly be the biggest procrastinator maybe not, I procrastinate till midnight (apparently I have a book report, vocab quiz, maths quiz and a Chinese assessment tomorrow and I still haven't done anything)

• Hmmm this is a tough one, I really can't decide between YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, I mean I go on them the equal amount of time each day. (Basically telling me to choose between Shawn Mendes and Luke Hemmings)

5. Why did you start blogging?

• I don't really know the answer to this question, its like asking a fangirl why did they started getting obsessed with this one celebrity.

6. What is your dream? In other words, if you were given one wish, what would you wish for?

• I really have no idea, if you were asking the fangirl Joyce then probably meeting 5SOS and Shawn Mendes, the nerdy Joyce would be to get straight A's, and the me me ummm world peace maybe because this war is really freakish

• I could actually sing well (I guess), hehe but I never sang loud in front of any of my friends or sing in a really weird tone/voice, never seriously

Lorde's New M.A.C Makeup Collection!

Lorde is well known for her dark lips and her wing-tipped eyeliner that stretches really long, this signature look looks fabulous on her. Finally, we will be able to buy the "Royals" singer's own makeup collection in June.

We all know that Lorde has her signature dark lips look, we are so happy to know that we could get the exact look of hers brought by M.A.C. The dark lips that she wears on regular basis caught our attention and even M.A.C's attention and is having a Dark Collection collaboration with Lorde.

In the picture for M.A.C, she is wearing the M.A.C lipstick in Pure Heroin (which is also the name of her album), it is a dark plum colour, with a Penultimate eyeliner in Rapidblack. The lipstick will be for $16USD and the eyeliner for $19.50USD.

According to her interviews, “I have loved MAC Cosmetics since I was a little kid,” the “Royals” singer told The Cut in March. “I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends! MAC has a very clear aesthetic, that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too”.

It is sad to know there will only be two products in this collection, but it would still be nice if you are a fan of Lorde (well I am), the lipstick is a bit too dark to try out but it would look nice for festive like Halloween, or rock it up with a smoky eye look, its always nice to try something out, right?

The collection will be released to public in Times Square and Fifth Avenue M.A.C store and online at MACcosmetics.com on June 5, and will be released internationally in July.

WHAT? : Bobby Pins 101

Hello, ello! You know what? You had been using bobby pins the wrong way! Shocking, right? Buttt...this is true. Bobby pin is one essentials for your hair, its really handy yet basic, just with a push, your hair is in place. You must be really surprising that you had been using bobby pins in the wrong way for your whole life, like WHAT?!

The correct way to use a bobby pin is just by a flip of your hand. The wavy side should be facing down instead of UP, it is actually designed to grip your hair so that it wouldn't fall down or slide down. Did you tried that out? If you did, you will notice a difference.
