I was designing my room and there popped out a blank piece of wall, I was thinking how to decorate it this time, I had stuck a heart collage before, a tumblr inspired collage....hmm..AH! What about a Polaroid photo wall?! I had saw someone else did this on tumblr and suddenly popped out of my mind. So I was searching for any tutorials on this and I came through TheWinterForest's blog, I just want to share this idea/method to you all.
Let's get started!
Well, I know not everyone has those professional software like Photoshop so in this method, you will need an internet connection (well obviously you have) and simply go on to Pixlr, which is an online free photo editing software.
1. Download
- First, of course you will need a frame, obviously a Polaroid photo frame. Simply click here, it will redirect you to another website and click the first button on the top right corner that says "Download", save it to your computer, and we will use it in step number 2!
2. Process
- Go onto Pixlr right now
- Choose Open Image from Computer (second option) and open the previously saved template (Polaroid Frame).
- Afterwards go on to http://followgram.me/yourusername (change it to your Instagram username) and sign in using your instagram account.
- Choose the photo(s) that you would want to use, click once onto the photo to make it zoon, right click and click Copy Image URL/location
- Back to Pixlr, in the top menu choose Layer > Open Image URL as Layer
- Paste the image URL in the box and your image will be added as an layer.
- In the layers panel (on the right) grab the new layer and place it at the bottom of the Polaroid frame. Position in place
- Do the same for all 4 photos.
3. Finish
Afterwards, go to File > Print or save the finished file to your computer. It would be better if you print on photo paper instead to make it more alike. Use it as a wall decor, or in your scrapbook, and TAADAA you are done!
